Making Good Decisions, The GEA Way.

At GEA, we come together, we create possibilities and we look for a better way. It’s the GEA Way, and it all begins with making good decisions, every day.

Our greatest assets will always be our employees and the legacy of integrity we’ve built over the last 100 years. And people are taking notice. From being named a Great Place to Work® to maintaining a perfect score on the Human Rights Campaign’s Corporate Equality Index (CEI), we appreciate our many recognitions because now more than ever, our owners and customers want to know they’re doing business with a company they can trust that stands for something bigger than the products it makes. That’s why we’re thrilled to embark on the next chapter of our Citizenship journey with the GEA Code of Ethics—a guiding resource for GE Appliances employees, our subsidiaries, our suppliers and our customers.

It’s also a public pledge to our owners and stakeholders that we will work hard every day to continue earning the trust they have in us.

What is the Code?

The Code of Ethics is a guiding resource created to ensure that our employees and anyone we do business with is empowered to always make good decisions. It outlines the policies, procedures and principles that govern the way we operate, providing a closer look at who we are and what we stand for as a business.

Who has to follow it?

All GEA employees, subsidiaries and third parties are expected to know and follow the Code.

Why is it important?

The Code upholds our more than 100-year commitment to operating with the highest ethical standards by making our expectations, culture and principles clear and transparent.

Everything we do is a reflection of our business and the Code can help guide our employees and anyone working with GEA to always make good decisions.

By providing “What If?” scenarios, common-sense reminders and guidance on what to do in different situations, the Code empowers our teams with knowledge to navigate the process of ethical decision making. It also encourages people to speak up, ask questions and raise concerns if they see or hear something that doesn’t seem right.

What is GEA’s Guiding Principle

The relationships we have with our owners, customers, vendors, employees, government stakeholders and communities set the tone for our entire business. Their trust is the power behind our business and something we’ve worked hard for decades to earn.

To ensure their needs and interests are always a top priority, we’re guided by one simple principle—trust.

  • Trust with our owners, customers and vendors.
  • Trust with our employees.
  • Trust with our government stakeholders and communities
  • We’re able to put our ethics into action and build on our culture of integrity that reflects who we are as a business by continuing to do the right thing the GEA Way, every day.
