October 1 is Manufacturing Day (MFG Day) and the beginning of National Manufacturing Month. With events throughout October, we’re celebrating our team and careers in manufacturing at GE Appliances.

MFG Day brings manufacturers from all sectors together to highlight career opportunities to students, parents, teachers and community leaders.

As manufacturers seek to fill 4 million high-skill, high-tech and well-paying jobs over the next decade, MFG Day empowers manufacturers to come together to address collective challenges, so we can help our communities and inspire future generations to join us.

We have nearly 14,000 employees in the U.S. who come together to invent, design, make, deliver and service good things, for life. This month we’ll be sharing their stories—like Alivia Slucher and Aliza Schmitter, two women who joined skilled trades apprenticeship programs and work in maintenance at Appliance Park in Louisville.
