It's back-to-school time, and at GE Appliances we're committed to helping students in the communities we serve have a successful start to the year. 

All this week we'll be sharing news about the different ways GE Appliances supports students in the classroom and also helps to inspire the next generation of makers and creators.

In Louisville, for example, our manufacturing teams just wrapped up a drive to collect school supplies and toiletries for families living in the Family Scholar House communities. 

In fact, employees at all five manufacturing buildings along with the Laundry Technology team held a friendly competition to see which building could collect the most items.

In the end, the team at AP5 came out on top. But as a result of this entire community-focused initiative, hundreds of essential supplies are going to families to help students from preschool to college start the year off right.
